Boobie Holiday, also known as Chavo Ali, is a Chicago Native, DMV immigrant, and is an exciting new artist to watch in the Richmond. The 94' Doughboy surprises you with an arsenal of flows, and thought provoking lyrics. As the front-man of the 3souf movement, Boobie Holiday arrived on the scene early 2014 with his Bandcamp releases of GarciasGracias vol.1, a raw compilation mostly recorded in the living room of the groups apartment, and On The Island, a featureless manifesto Holiday created to reflect on the time he spent out of school and on probation.
After months of silence, on October 2014, Boobie Holiday released his first set of visuals for the song "Easy" with video production from Kevin Wright. With his latest release, March 9th, Boobie Holiday continues to blaze a trail in Richmond with a unique engineered sound called "Ocean Trap", using a next level fluidity of flow and arrangement of music. In his songs, Holiday brings lyricism, honesty, and life all to the surface. Assisted by features from Richmond artist Noleac Yahsin, and Kenny Champagne, March 9th has been considered a masterpiece.
After it's release, Boobie Holiday has kept himself busy performing local Richmond shows and underground house shows where he has made waves performing sets with a live jazz band. Boobie Holiday boasts over 50 unreleased songs, and will be spending his 2015 summer releasing music videos and gaining performance experience.
